It’s a wrap!

Thank you for making our annual meeting a success! As we wrap up another incredible Annual Meeting, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us. The AMTr 2025 Annual Meeting brought together allied health professionals from across the country for a week of education, collaboration, and celebration. Held from July 21-24, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown, the event served as AMTr’s flagship gathering, offering attendees a unique blend of continuing education and networking opportunities.

Throughout the meeting, attendees participated in a rich blend of continuing education sessions, essential business meetings, and memorable social events. From the inspiring keynote address to dynamic breakout discussions, every moment reinforced the value of collaboration, professional growth, and community. The connections made—and strengthened—during these few days are a testament to the power of coming together with shared purpose and passion.

The AMTr 2026 Annual Meeting Call for Proposals is now open! This is a significant opportunity to share your knowledge with the allied health community. Proposals are being accepted in one of the following curriculum tracks:

  • Allied Health Instructing
  • Dental Assisting
  • Medical Assisting
  • Laboratory
  • Phlebotomy
  • Leadership and Professional Development

Helpful Information

  • Call for Proposals closes on Monday, September 8, 11:59 PM CT.
  • ONLY those proposals submitted via the online Call for Proposals form will be considered.
  • DO submit proposals for presentation at the Annual Meeting; DO NOT submit suggestions.
  • You do not need to be a member of AMTr to submit a proposal.
  • There is no cost for submitting a proposal.
  • Proposals being submitted will be reviewed by AMTr’s Scientific/Speaker Committee.
  • Final selections will be made in December 2025. Speakers will be notified in January 2026.

AMTr’s 2026 Annual Meeting will be held in Columbus, Ohio, July 21-24, 2026. It will offer something for all allied health professionals. Reunite with colleagues, earn CE credit, network, and make new friends! Use this opportunity to reset, refresh, and return to your day-to-day energized!

Who can attend the Annual Meeting?

↪ The Annual Meeting is open to everyone, including allied health industry professionals, employers, program directors, and students. AMTr welcomes guests of attendees to participate in some events.


Will there be an Exhibit Hall?

↪ AMTr is offering table space and opportunities to industry representatives to sponsor and showcase their product/organization in a large networking space, with lots of attendee traffic. Email amtmeetings@americanmedtech.org for more information.


Who selects the Annual Meeting locations?

↪ AMTr Board of Directors select Annual Meeting sites and the selection is governed by rotation among the five AMTr Districts. Exceptions to the rotation may be made by the Board, if necessary.
Annual Meeting locations must be easily accessible via convenient, competitive air service and major highway systems; should be located near AMTr partnership schools and/or employers; and must have a high concentration of active AMTr members.

How do I propose to present an education session at the 2026 Annual Meeting?

↪ The 2026 Call for Proposals is open and closes on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:59 PM Central.


Will I have to pay for CE?

↪ Yes. Continuing education must be purchased via the online registration system.


What is the maximum number of CE hours I can earn?

↪ You can earn up to 15 hours of CE at the AMTr 2026 Annual Meeting.


I live in Florida. Are the Annual Meeting CE Sessions accepted in the state of Florida?

↪ Yes. Credits earned at the Annual Meeting are accepted by the state of Florida (CE Broker #50-2206. If you have a Florida license number, please go to your My AMTr Portal, select Update My Information, and enter it into the Professional License Number section at the bottom of the page.


I live in California. Are the Annual Meeting CE Sessions accepted in the state of California?

↪ Yes. Credits earned at the Annual Meeting are accepted by the state of California (Provider #0061) for MLS, MLT, and RPT licensure renewal. If you have a California Department of Public Health license number, please go to your My AMTr Portal, select Update My Information, and enter it into the Professional License Number section at the bottom of the page.
